Its Second Institutional Mutual Fund for U.S. Investors

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Henderson Global Investors, the independent asset management firm with $117.8 billion under management, today announced the launch of the Henderson Global Real Estate Equities Fund, an institutional share-class mutual fund that aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation primarily by investing in property-related securities throughout the world. The Fund follows a fundamental, value-driven approach and is managed by a portfolio team comprised of Hendersons Europe and Asia-Pacific real estate equity managers, with the North American portion managed by Transwestern Securities Management, LLC. The Fund has a $1 million investment minimum.

Latin America is certainly piquing interest from investors, judging from the crowd of over 200 attendees at Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.'s Latin American Capital Markets Perspective conference, held this morning at the Jumeirah Essex House in Manhattan. "The proportion of (foreign) investment was 25 percent in 2002, was up to 45 percent last year and is increasing rapidly," said Colin Dyer, the company's president & CEO, at the start of the panel discussion.
